The Calcutta High Court, in a revision registered on its own motion, recalled and cancelled the bail it had granted on 24.08.2026 in an NDPS brown-sugar case (paras 2, 6, 9). Both sides had told the Court that only Rs. 4 lakh, and no contraband, was recovered from the accused, but the case diary showed 446 grams of brown sugar seized from him as well (paras 2-3). Applying Zeba Khan, the Court held that material facts had been suppressed (paras 4-5).
